Dr Crowther appointed Headteacher from September

Dear Families 

 

I am delighted to announce some exciting news for our Cobham Primary School community. Following our rigorous search and selection process, I am thrilled to inform you on behalf of the Governing Body, that Dr Polly Crowther has been appointed as our new Headteacher from September. 

 

Dr Crowther has been an integral part of our leadership team and she brings her passion for education, a deep commitment to our vision and values, and a genuine care for the well-being of our Cobham community to the role. 

Please join me in congratulating Dr Crowther on her new role. 

 

Our amazing Mrs Saunders will no doubt be working closely with her to ensure a smooth and detailed handover during the remaining two terms.

Dearest Families, 

 

It is my utmost pleasure in being able to congratulate our Dr Crowther in securing the role of Cobham's next headteacher. I am delighted for our team, our families and most importantly our phenomenal children. The future of Cobham and all that we have achieved so far, will be in the most caring hands of one of our own! I truly could not be more pleased. 

 

No 'outsider' will have ever truly known or understood the magic that we create at Cobham. I am not sure all my parents understand this yet, but our children do. They are loved and adored. This amazing outcome was written in the stars from the very first time I interviewed Dr Crowther. I knew then, and even more so now, what a remarkable women she is. 

 

Incredibly well done Polly. You utterly deserve the best job in the world! Your leadership strengths, you unwavering dedication and your commitment to providing the very best educational and personal experiences for every child, is all that you will need! I have a survival kit to share with you too! :) 

 

Whilst we are in a celebratory mood, I am also honoured to announce that Mrs Dengate gave birth this week to a 9lb baby girl! We are thrilled for her and her family. Wishing her all the love in the world!

Dear families, 

 

Cobham is a school with incredible heart, determined pursuit of excellence for all our children and the inspirational collaboration of the children, families and colleagues at our school. It is the greatest privilege and most humbling to be given the opportunity to take Cobham into its next phase. 

 

Our children are amazing, and they deserve the very best that education can offer. Like many of you, Mrs Saunders's leadership was a key factor in deciding to send my own children to Cobham. I truly understand how much she means to you, the children and to our staff team and I do not take the responsibility to follow in her footsteps lightly. What she has built here is very special and we will continue to build on these incredible foundations and with the most wonderful staff team. 

 

Over the next two terms, I must focus on the really important job of ensuring our Year 6 children are ready for the next big step in their lives. Mrs Saunders has big plans for the final two terms of the year, and I will be working to support her and to prepare for our own transition here at Cobham. 

 

I came to Cobham three years ago for a job, and I found a home. I hope that we can continue to build a school that provides that sense of home for all our community and look forward to working with you all to achieve that from September.
