A huge thank you to everyone who attended this afternoon. It was so lovely to see you all. The children loved parading their beautiful bonnets in front of you! They were simply amazing! I hope the children had a fabulous day! It was super to see our oldest children supporting our youngest with the egg hunt today! Always makes my heart melt witnessing this!
Also thank you for the bottle donations that made up the tombola stall in the hall today! I think the hot drinks and cakes provided by our Year 6 families were most welcome today too. I am certain they will have made a great amount of money towards the forthcoming Year 6 Leavers’ Party in July. But they are not leaving me just yet.
However this email is really to say ‘Thank You!’ Thank you for the reading sponsorship money. A staggering £2,252 has been collected so far and I know a few of you asked today if it can still be returned after Easter – the answer is of course ‘Yes!’
Your generosity and support of this event has staggered me and once again shows how truly caring and supportive you are as a school community. Half of the money will be sent to the Disasters and Emergencies Ukraine Appeal and half will be used to buy non-fiction books for each classroom. I cannot thank you enough. An incredible amount!
I wish each and every family a wonderful break. Our children have worked incredibly hard and I hope you were super proud of their reports. I cannot thank my team enough for all their hard work, support and dedication. It has been wonderful to bring the whole school together again more recently with our shared events across the school. It is what makes Cobham truly special.
